Letter from Three Rivers College

Hello All,

In preparation for a potential increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Southeast Missouri, Three Rivers College will move to virtual instruction on Monday, March 23rd through the end of the semester. Please encourage your students to continue working in classes while your districts are not in session. Virtual instruction may cause concern for some, due to the lack of reliable internet. The College is committed to providing as many resources as possible to our students for successful completion.

The college and all external locations will remain open during normal business hours. Faculty and staff will be on hand to answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner.
The Rutland Library and the Tutoring and Learning Center on the Poplar Bluff campus will be open from 8am-8pm and will offer services to students, including open computer labs.
All external locations will have available computer labs for student use. It is suggested that students call and make an appointment to guarantee a computer is available.
Blackboard and emails can be accessed using a mobile device (ie: cell phone/tablet).
If Charter is an internet provider in your area, they are providing free broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to household with college student who do not already have an internet subscription. To enroll call 1-844-488-9395.
Checking student email and blackboard multiple times a day will be vital moving forward through the semester. Faculty and Staff are here to help with any issues that may arise, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns

“We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win.” - JFK
